MPES offers Ph.D. students an integrated training in preparation to do rigorous and relevant research in education.
The components include the following:
- a unified program of required and optional coursework across a variety of areas. For a detailed list of courses, see here: MPES Required Courses
- a research apprenticeship with affiliated faculty
- bimonthly seminars on education research
- a practicum experience designed to address applied research questions in CPS or Evanston Districts 202 and 65.
- up to 3 years of graduate student tuition and $30,000 annual stipend
- funding to support research and travel
